Dr Ryder offers a full suite of gynaecology services from her rooms in Greenslopes including management of:

Heavy Periods & Menstrual Problems

Including management of heavy, irregular or painful bleedings.

Pelvic Pain & Painful Periods

Pelvic pain can be debilitating and there are many treatment options available. The cause is often multi-factorial. Dr Ryder will work with you to identify a cause and manage your symptoms with a holistic approach to help improve your quality of life. Sometimes this may require surgery and a multidisciplinary team is key to effective treatment.

Endometriosis

Endometriosis affects approximately 10% of all women and it is often underdiagnosed. Dr Ryder will discuss medical and surgical options to diagnose and treat underlying endometriosis

Adenomyosis

Adenomyosis can result in painful and heavy periods, there are several management options that can be tailored to suit you.

Ovarian Cysts

Large or recurrent ovarian cysts can be painful, and potentially a risk to your health, Dr Ryder will investigate these thoroughly and offers various treatment options.

Uterine fibroids

Uterine fibroids are common however if they cause heavy bleeding, fertility issues or bladder symptoms they may require treatment.

Abnormal pap smears/CST & Colposcopy

Cervical screening tests  (also known as pap smears) are designed to screen for the HPV virus and identify early pre-cancerous changes to the cervix. An abnormal test result may mean you require a colposcopy, which involves looking at the cervix under a microscope. Dr Ryder may need to take a biopsy at the time of colposcopy. This is a simple procedure performed in the rooms, Dr Ryder will ensure you are as comfortable as possible throughout.

Menopause

Menopause affects all women eventually, symptoms are common and there are many safe treatment options available. Menopausal symptoms can be debilitating and can have significant effect of quality of life.

PCOS

Dr Ryder will support you through diagnosis and treatment of PCOS and discuss the importance of various factors to reduce the risk of diabetes and improve future fertility if required.

Contraception

After careful discussion of benefits and risks of all methods of contraception Dr Ryder is able to provide medication, long acting reversible contraception such as Implanon, Mirena or Copper IUD and surgical options if requested. IUD’s can be provided in rooms under local anaesthetic or under general anaesthetic in hospital.

PMS/PMDD

There are many effective and safe treatments for PMS/PMDD, optimal treatment involves a multidisciplinary approach.
